Mildred Lee Gardner

Mildred “Millie” Wright Gardner, of Louisville, KY, daughter of the late William E. “Bill” Wright and Martha Velma Page Wright, was born on January 19, 1940, in Taylor County, KY. She peacefully passed away on January 2, 2025, in Louisville, surrounded by her loving family. Mildred leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, strength, and selflessness.

Mildred enjoyed a fulfilling career at Whayne Supply, where her dedication and hard work were deeply valued.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Neil Gardner; her parents, William and Martha Wright; her brother, Charles Wright; and her sisters, Barbara Ann Wright Miller and Jean Ford.

She is survived by her sister, Jan Stephens; her children, Robin Jaggers (Billy), Bill Gardner (Tina), Neil Gardner Jr., and Jeffrey Gardner; ten grandchildren: Cameron, Amber, Nicole, Will, Delaney, Savannah, Hailey, Dustin, Jesse, and Ally; and two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Allison.

Mildred’s warmth, laughter, and unwavering love touched countless lives. Her memory will remain a guiding light to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Celebration of Millie’s Life will be conducted Sunday, January 12th 2025, at 4:00 in Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road. Visitation will precede the service from noon to 4:00 at the funeral home.
