Born to the late Willie Kendall and Nola Stiles Kendall, Myrtle is also preceded in passing by her adoring husband of 64 years, James Thomas; and her siblings Betty Rusher and William Kendall. Here to carry on her memory are her children, Randy Thomas and Dan Thomas (Sherry); her grandchildren Laurel Pikulin (Rob), David Thomas (Donna Spina-Thomas), Paul Falco (Leah), Whitney Thomas, Sean Thomas, Leeanne Dodson (Jake), and Sydney Thomas; her great-grandchildren Nora, James, Cyrus, and Ava Roberts, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Myrtle was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church where she volunteered at the library. Her favorite hobbies included reading, cooking, and spending time with her family, friends, and neighbors.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, with a funeral service in Myrtle’s honor beginning immediately at 2:00 pm. Myrtle will be entombed in Resthaven Memorial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to The American Heart Association.
