She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James W. Wibbels and son, Ronald F. Wibbels.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Head and her son-in-law and dedicated care giver, Bill Head. Myrtle was proud of her four grandchildren, Ronald G. Wibbels(Debbie), James "Jay" Wibbels(Wendy), Lea Ann Buehner(Tim), and Paul A. Wibbels(Krista). She has four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Allie, Andrew, and Bradley Wibbels and many nieces and nephews.
Myrtle worked at the Charlestown Ammunition Plant, Schenly Distillery, and retired from Taylor Drug #9. She was a 66 year member of the Order of Eastern Star #265, White Shrine of Jerusalem #1, and a Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed travel, fishing/camping, bird watching, gardening, and writing poems. She was an avid animal lover.
Her funeral service will be 12pm Wednesday at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home 8519 Preston Hwy. with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8pm Tuesday.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Lion's Camp Crescendo, an animal shelter, or Hosparus.
