

Nan L. Smith, 101, passed away February 6, 2015. She was born Nannie Ellen LeForce to Charles W. and Lula Meadors LeForce in Wofford, Whitley County, KY on August 25, 1913. Nan was a wonderful Christian homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She attended the Southern Baptist Seminary for 2 years in 1950-1951, and worked at the old Baptist School of Nursing as Director of Religious Students. She was a tireless worker at Victory Memorial Baptist Church and Beechmont Baptist Church, teaching youth, young adults, and adults for over 60 years as well as working for missions of Southern Baptist churches.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dalton A. Mullins, Sr. and her second husband, Arthur M. Smith.
She is survived by her son, Dalton A. Mullins, Jr.(Sophin); 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to Sophin, Mary Lou, Sid and Betsy, Aree, Linda, David, Jai, and the staff at Treyton Oak Towers.
Funeral service will be 2pm Monday, February 9, 2015 at Evergreen Funeral Home with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8pm Sunday.
