I used to babysit you kids, and I don't know if your Mom ever told you the story, but once almost set your house afire!  We had a thunderstorm that knocked out the power, and when there were still no lights after about an hour, you started to get scared.  I lit a bunch of candles on the kitchen countertop, which calmed you down and allowed me to get you to bed, but I had cleverly placed them directly under the upper kitchen cabinets.  By the time your folks got home, the cabinet bottoms were charred, and in a few places were thin enough to poke a finger through.  (Of course, I didn't know this until the next day, when your folks reported it to my folks.)  I'm pretty sure only your Mom's intervention kept both our Dads from murdering me with their bare hands.

I know Nancy suffered a lot in the past couple of years, and while I know you'll miss her tremendously, I hope knowing her suffering has ended brings you comfort and peace.

I remember her as being 'the nice lady' across the street and one of my parents' good friends. She's no longer in pain! Rest in peace, Nancy.

Nancy was a wonderful neighbor. It just won't be the same on our street without her cheerful smile and wave, or chatting about our yard projects, or her kindness towards our dogs. She was a neat lady -- smart, funny, genuine -- and we will miss her.

I was so blessed to have renewed our companionship after such a long time. I looked forward every morning to our Email exchanges. Rest in peace, lovely lady.

Drew and Christi, Many thoughts and prayers for you and your family during these days! I recall delightful conversation with Nancy at Lori's Baby Shower! Nancy's sweet spirit and laughter were absolute gift! May God continually surround you and your family with the comfort only HE gives!

We'll miss seeing you on your morning walks, but know you,re in a better place and no longer suffering.  Peace and comfort to your family.

Nancy I know you are in a better place now.  I will never forget all the happy times we had as neighbors and friends.
