Nancy Sue (Finck) Krause, 78, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Baptist Health Louisville after a long health battle. Her life and legacy is celebrated by her husband, Jan Krause, sons David and wife Shelly and Daniel and wife Becky, five grandchildren Caleb, Aaron, Melody, Oma, and Reed, sister Beverly (Finck) Croucher and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Louise (Bowers) Finck and sister, Bettye (Finck) Willett.
Nancy was born on December 27, 1946. She graduated from Durrett High School, majored in elementary education at UK and retired from JCPS. She was an active church member throughout her life participating in choir, handbells, bible study, and other groups. Nancy supported the local performing arts community and breast cancer survivor groups.
There will be a celebration of life on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at St. Paul UMC,
2000 Douglass Boulevard, Louisville, KY 40205. The visitation will start at 4 PM followed by a celebration of life at 5 PM and a meal after.
