Pete was a hard-working man who took pride in showing up, doing the job well, and treating people with steady decency. He served as Manager of the Bambi Bar and Grill, a role that reflected both his commitment and the quiet care he extended to those around him.
A kind-hearted presence in everyday life, Pete found genuine enjoyment in sports and the community it builds. He loved sports and was involved with the Louisville Bulls and high school teams for many years, giving his time and support in ways that will not be forgotten.
Pete was preceded in death by Charlemagne and Lydia Whitford, and his brother Timothy Jacobs.
Pete is survived by parents Sheila and Michael Jacobs; brothers Charlemagne White III (Christina), Bryan Jacobs, and Raphael Whitford (Mara); sisters Becky Jacobs, Margie Cole, Angela Wheeler (Doug), and Rebekah Whitford (Ari); and lots of nieces and nephews, aunts and cousins all who he adored.
Memorial Visitation will be held at Advantage Heady-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3601 Taylor Blvd, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location at 6:00 pm.
After the funeral gathering, please join family and friends in celebrating the life of Pete. We will be at his home away from home, The Bambi Bar and Grill, 2701 Bardstown Road, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm.
