Nelson Botey, 69, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024. He was born in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. Nelson was a welder in an auto body shop and loved working on cars. His ambition to give his family the freedom and opportunity that his home country could not give; gave him the strength and courage to leave in search of that here in America. Through hard work and sacrifice, him and his wife of 35 years were able to make that dream happen along with their two daughters. He loved his family dearly. Nothing was more important to him other than his family. He was a wonderful dad, husband and grandfather.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Dania Quintero; daughters, Dayana Botey-Quintero, and Dariena Botey-Quintero.
A visitation for Nelson will be Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Highway, 40219. Cremation will follow.
