Cathy was born March 9, 1953 in Louisville, KY. Her mother, Geraldine (Johnston) Phillips, preceded her in death along with her grandparents, Hugh and Nora Phillips, and Bobby and Catherine Johnston.
Cathy leaves to cherish her memory to her father, Floyd Phillips and her sister, Vickie (Phillips) Scherzer.
Cathy was in a wheelchair her entire life due to cerebral palsy but despite that, she brought love, smiles, and laughter to everyone she met. She loved reading, keeping up with everyone on Facebook, and playing computer games. Sitting outside on the deck was one of her favorite pastimes as the squirrels and birds kept her entertained. She also enjoyed going on the Gatlinburg trips with her loving cousins.
Visitation will be at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road from 11a.m. – 2 p.m. on Tuesday June 26, 2018. A celebration of Cathy’s life will follow at Resthaven in the chapel at 2 p.m. with an interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
