

Norita Ann Malone, 84, of Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 26, 1941, in Lebanon, Marion County, KY. After marrying John, they moved to Louisville, KY where they made their home and raised their children.
Norita was preceded in death by her parents, Malcom and Alfa Skaggs; brothers, Floyd “Bill,” Harold, and Kenneth Skaggs; sisters, Geneva Pottinger and Betty Pottinger; grandchild, Kasey Kays; and son-in-law, Charles "Chuck" Ackhoff.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John Robert Malone; and her children, Nancy Price, Steve Malone, Michelle Malone, and Patty Whyte (Jeff). She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Amanda Wooten (Jeremy), Sarah Androla (Jeff), Ashley Bennett (Dave), Jordan Price (Rose), Jessica Sookal (Darren), and Matthew Whyte; as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Natalie, Emily, Noah, Amelia, Olivia, Grayson, Felicity, Arianna, Darren, Jr., Hudson, Elio, Eliza; and a great host of cousins, nephews and nieces.
Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew her lovingly as Mimi, and she adored all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Norita dedicated much of her life to caring for others as a nurse at Audubon Hospital, where she touched countless lives with her compassion and skill. She had a love for gardening which she joyfully shared with her children, and she had a passion for photography, as well as being an accomplished seamstress. She was a longtime member of St. Bernard Parish in Louisville, KY.
Norita will be remembered for her kindness, humor, generosity, and “spunky” personality, as well as her deep devotion to family. She left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her, bringing joy, warmth, and a spark of energy to every room she entered.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, located at 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218.
The funeral service will follow at the same location on Saturday, January 10, 2026 starting at 4:00 pm.
