Norma Jean Arnett

Norma was a native of Louisville but went to school in Breckenridge County and graduated from Breckenridge County High School in 1951. She had a long career with the United States Postal Service from where she retired in 1994. She had strong faith and loved her family dearly. She was a longtime member of Westport Road Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents William and Ruby Berley, her sisters Estelle Coates and Pauline Broy and her brother James 'Sonny" Coates.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years Charles "Tom" Arnett, her children Debbie Tomes (Robert), Robin Peach (Kim) and Kenny Gandy (Barbie). Also surviving her are her grandchildren Aaron Tomes (Angie), Jennifer Taylor (David), Christen Goodman (David), Ryan Tomes, Anthony Peach (Brooke), Heather Groves (Hunter), Matthew Gandy, Kandace Collins (Russell) and 21 great-grandchildren.

Guests are invited to a visitation from 10:00am-1:00pm Thursday, September 30, 2021 with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 1:00pm at Westport Road Baptist Church, 9705 Westport Road Louisville, KY 40241. Interment will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East, 11601 Ballardsville Road Louisville, KY 40241.
