

Norma Jean Blair, 91, entered Eternal Life on June 20, 2026; at home, with loved ones by her side. Born in Louisville, she was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law and friend to many.
A talented pianist, Jean played piano in church as a teenager where she met the love of her life and future husband, David Blair, Sr. Known for being a wonderful cook and baker, she was also a gifted seamstress. In her spare time, she made beautiful quilts and enjoyed various craft projects. Jean especially enjoyed gardening and spending time at the family lake property. A devoted Christian throughout her life, she was a long-time member of Highview Baptist Church.
Norma Jean was preceded in death by her parents, George Israel "Jack" Montgomery and Eleanor Vivian King Montgomery; her loving husband of 72 years, David Blair, Sr.; her beloved son, Mark Blair; brothers Raymond Montgomery, Glenn Montgomery and Kenny Ray Montgomery; sisters Zanie Beasley and Georgia Ann Briney.
While suffering the debilitating effects from Aplastic Anemia, MDS and mini-strokes since 2018, she endured the devastating loss of her son Mark in 2022. Facing it all with courage and determination, Jean often expressed appreciation for her long, happy life; a life marked by devotion to her family and an indomitable spirit. She will be dearly missed but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Jean is lovingly remembered by her children: David Jr. (Vicki) and Terry (Mary Beth); her beloved grandchildren: Stephanie Wilder (Jake) and Joe Blair (Bobbie); great-grandchildren: Hannah Wilder, Kayleigh Qualls, Trevor Blair; and three great- great-grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.
Guests are welcome for visitation from 1:00-7:00 pm on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville. A service to celebrate Jean's life will take place in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, July 7 with a private burial to follow.
