Nonie was born on March 1, 1932 in Louisville, Kentucky to parents, Clarence & Evelyn (Meadows) Johnson. He was retired from G.E. in the Maintenance Department. He was a former Car Man of the Louisville & Nashville Railroad, served in the Kentucky National Guard with Battery C, 138th Field Artillery Battalion and was also a Free Mason.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence & Evelyn (Meadows) Johnson; his wife, Jean Johnson; son, Johnny Johnson; grandson, Ryan Anderson; and two brothers, Keith Johnson & Robert Johnson.
Left to cherish his memory is his children, Rick (Belinda) Elmore, Glenn (Linda) Johnson, Jr., Jamie (Dawn) Johnson; grandchildren, Chris (Holly) Elmore, Tracey (Kevin) Anderson, Cary (Jessica) Johnson, Tiffany (Jeff) Williams, Richard Caruso, Jaimie (Matt) Johnson, Kayla (Steven) Coleman, Ally Johnson; 13 – great – grandchildren; one – great – great – grandchild; one sister, Joann Johnston, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. in the Dignity Chapel of the Evergreen Funeral Home with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums. Funeral Services will be live streamed via our Facebook Page – Evergreen Funeral Home & Evergreen Cemetery beginning at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. also at the Evergreen Funeral Home.
