JONES, ORA GENE, 85, of South Louisville, peacefully passed from this life on Thursday September 8, 2011. He was a native of Muhlenburg County, a retired machinist, a member of the Grace Community Church of the Nazarene, and a Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, the former Edna Compton; daughters, Deborah Jones and Vikki Mangum; a son, Bobby Jones; stepchildren, Lyric Galin, April Smart, Jim and Kevin Galin, and Rick Uebele; sisters, Emily Nowack and Carol Shultzabarger; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Mr. Jones' life will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Interment with military honors will follow in Lebanon National Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday. Online memorial at www.archlheadysouthernfh.com.
