Ovella Mae Patterson Wilson

Wilson, Ovella Mae Patterson Nunn, 78, of Louisville, formerly of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Floyd Lee Patterson and Annie Alzora Risen Patterson, was born on Tuesday, January 8, 1935 and departed this life Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the Essex Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Louisville.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Shively Baptist Church in Louisville. She was a homemaker who deeply loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, William L. Nunn and Carroll E. Wilson.

Survivors include her son, Barry Lee Nunn; her step-daughter, Barbara Squires; her granddaughter, Jennifer Nunn; two great-granddaughters, Ava Hollis and Cloie Holmes; two step-grandsons, Eddie Squires and Frankie and wife, Tracey Squires; two step great-grandchildren, Mary Beth and Kenny Squires, all of Louisville; five brothers and four sisters all of Green County, KY.

The funeral service for Mrs. Ovella Wilson will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. EST Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 South Main St., Greensburg. Visitation is requested 4-8 p.m. EST Thursday, February 7, 2013, at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway in Louisville. A second night of visitation will be 5-9 p.m. EST Friday at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home and after 8 a.m. Saturday until funeral time.
