Patricia “Patty” M. Hipsher, a beloved wife, mommy, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on November 14, 2025. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Patty was a devoted family woman whose greatest joy was her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas A. and Clotene D. Morgan, and her infant brother, Truman. She is survived by her husband Lester; daughter Tricia Redd (Aaron); sisters Barbara Betlewicz, Dorothy Frank, and Pamela Tolle (Doug); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Raised in Louisville, Patty graduated from DuPont Manual High School before embarking on a successful career in the insurance industry. She began with Independence Life and Accident Insurance, continuing her education and moving to Jacksonville, Florida, where she worked as an Executive for Life and Death Claims. She later joined The Hartford Group and moved to Orlando. After 32 dedicated years, Patty retired in 2015. Patty was passionate about arts and crafts, reading, and watching movies, but above all, she treasured her faith and family. She loved to share good jokes and dance to good music. Patty and Lester celebrated 38 years of marriage on April 4, 2025. She formed many lifelong friendships, including a special bond with Mary Ellen (Jerry) Mobley, whose friendship brought countless cherished memories.
The family wishes to honor Patty’s memory with these words: “We will miss you dearly, you were beautiful inside and out and will live on in our hearts forever.”
A visitation will be held from 12PM - 2PM on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd., Louisville, KY 40218. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place immediately following the funeral at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
