

Patricia Ann Leathem, 66, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, September 21st, 2014 at Norton Healthcare after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was born September 4, 1948 in New Orleans, LA. to the late Harry Henry and Mildred Prejean Leathem. She was a graduate of Loyola University of the South with a BS degree in Dental Hygiene. After working several years in New Orleans as a hygienist, Patricia moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to work for the FDA. She later moved to Elizabethtown, KY to work at Fort Knox as a Dental Hygienist. Patricia received her Master’s Degree from the University of Louisville. She continued working at Fort Knox as an editor of the Department of Army until her retirement to Louisville. Patricia was an avid animal rights supporter. She loved the arts and gardening. First and foremost was her love for her family.
Patricia is survived by her sister, Faye Flaherty of Richmond, KY, three nieces: Patricia Kennedy (Jay), Erin Powers (Mike) and Kathleen Fielding (G.R.), great-nieces and nephews: Jack, Ella, Liam, Mia, Anderson, and Kaia.
A Memorial Celebration of Pat’s Life will be conducted Saturday, September 27th, 2014 at noon held in Arch L. Heady at Resthaven’s Event Room. In lieu of flowers, family has requests donations to the Hirschberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research or Shamrock Foundation.
