Born with Down Syndrome, Patty didn’t let her developmental challenges prevent her from living a good life. She had a happy, outgoing personality. Patty was a people person who never met a stranger. She was the life of the party and the queen of the one-liners. Patty lived at home among her loving family until entering the Cedar Lake system in 2005. There she was surrounded by her second loving family. The darkness of Alzheimer’s disease gradually overtook her.
Left to cherish Patty’s memory are her parents, sisters and brothers, numerous nieces and nephews, other family and friends, and the staff at Cedar Lake Lodge. A special thank you to the Cedar Lake staff who took such loving care of Patty.
A funeral Mass for Patty will be at Saint Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop, on Thursday, March 17, at 10:30.
Memorial donations may be made to Cedar Lake Foundation, 9505 Williamsburg Plaza, Suite 200, Louisville, KY 40222; www.cedarlake.org/donate.
