Patricia “Patty” Ann Sweeny 60 of Louisville, passed away Sunday at home with her family beside her. She was born, Ajpril 19, 1953 in Topeka, Kansas to the late, William Michael and Mary Rita Gutfleisch Higgins Sr. She was a secretary with John Paul II Academy, and a member of St. James Catholic Church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Mike Sweeny, her children, F. Michele Sweeny Jr., Kara Rachela Fautz (Josh), and Anna Maria Sweeny. Her 6 siblings; William Michael Higgins Jr., Cathy Blankenship, Rita Hart (Mel), Rose Higgins, Tim Higgins (Theresa), and Tom Higgins ( Valina) and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass to celebrate Patty’s life will be held at 10 am Saturday, at St. James Catholic Church, by Father Tony, and Father Bill, at 1826 Edenside Ave., Louisville, KY 40204
