Patricia Lee Duff Walsh

Patricia Lee Duff Walsh, 68, of Louisville passed away June 28, 2012 at Jefferson Place. She was born in Barbourville, Kentucky on October 15,1943 to the late Dan and Nina Walker Duff Jr. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church and was a founding member of Valley View Baptist Church. Pat was a Sunday School Teacher and Choir director at Beulah Presbyterian Church. She was a volunteer at the Downtown Senior Center where she spent many hours teaching music and assisting stroke patients. Pat loved to garden, and was an accomplished soloist who dedicated her life to her family.

She was a graduate of Transylvania University where she met the love of her life, the late Michael James Walsh who passed away in June of 2004. She graduated in 1965 and moved to Jefferson County where she taught Music and English at Pleasure Ridge Park High School, Valley High School and Iroquois Middle School.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Sean Walsh (Diana) and Brian Patrick Walsh (Crystal); five grandchildren, Jacob, Daniel, Sara, Jana and Michael; a brother, Anthony Capozzi and extended family, Donna and Chase Tribble.

A celebration of her life will be conducted Monday, July 2, 2012 at 10 AM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 at the funeral home.
