Rankin, Patrick H., 61 passed away December 1, 2013. He was a proud U.S. Marine that served during the Vietnam era. Pat spent many years as a successful jockey and worked as a rail loader for Jack Cooper Transportation. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Rankin and sister Patricia Rankin. Pat left behind to cherish his memory his children Angela Woodring (Robert), Michael Rankin (Haydee) and Geoffery Young, thirteen beautiful grandchildren, two great grandchild and dear friend and mother of his children Mary. He is also survived by his siblings Earl Rankin, Ronald Rankin, Jeanette Dennison, Rebecca Hayes and Pauline Fulmar and many loving nieces and nephews. A service honoring the life of Pat will be held Thursday at 11:30am at Evergreen Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-8pm at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Louisville Shamrock Pet Foundation.
