85, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2010 at Regency Rehab and Nursing Center. She was the former Patty Mae Bernard; a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary - Iroquois Post #229 for 37 years. Patty and her family were avid card players and its been said she always carried a deck with her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph E. Woods, Jr., and her parents, Raymond and Mrytle Kernan Bernard.
Her children are left to cherish her memory, Patricia "Patsy" Melton (Jack) and Bernard E. Woods (Pam); six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Her Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010 at noon at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. till service time at the funeral home.
