Mr. Paul Edward Summers, 71, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 in Cape Canaveral Florida. He was born October 21, 1942 to the late Claude-Skeets and Margaret Summers. He was a graduate of UofL Speed Scientific School, a member of the Moose Lodge #5, St. Bernard’s Church and an Army veteran. He was a computer engineer for GE and a lover of science with a constant quest for knowledge.

Paul is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Ann Barker Summers, 2 sons, Thomas E. Summers (Bridget Morrow) and John P. Summers (Christen), 2 granddaughters, Ashly Evelyn and Alissa Ann, 1 aunt and many cousins.

The Funeral Mass for Mr. Summers will be conducted Wednesday, April 9th, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Bernard’s Church with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 8th from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fern Creek Highview United Ministries, 9300 Beulah Church Rd., Louisville KY 40291, or The Salvation Army.

My heart goes out to the Summers family. I have the fond memory of when John and I were in middle school; I stayed the night at your house and the next day you and Mrs. Summers took us to Guy's Pizza for lunch. We had so much fun, and you will be very missed. God Bless!!!
