Mrs. Groce had retired as a packer from American Tobacco Company. She was preceded in rest by her husband, Hobert Groce; a son, Wendell Groce; a grandson, Brad Groce; and a brother, Stanford Johnson.
Mrs. Groce is survived by a daughter, Lisa McMackin; a son, Harold Groce; three grandchildren, Royce Groce, Wendy Groce-Smith and Holli Hayes; three great-grandchildren, Declan, Levi and Ella; and a brother, Denvil Johnson.
Her service will be on Tuesday at 2 p.m. CST at the Sunny Point General Baptist Church in Edmonson Co., with interment following in the church cemetery. Visiting will be on Monday, January 28, 2013 at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 8519 Preston Hwy., from 4-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. CST until the time of service at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Sunny Point General Baptist Church.
