

Payson Dean Shroyer Grimm, 20, of Louisville, tragically passed away, along with his boyfriend, Christopher Shultis, 25, as a result of an automobile accident after hydroplaning on a wet road in West Palm Beach Florida where he has been living for the past nine months.
Payson was very intelligent and exceeded academically, was an incredible writer and speaker, who always made the honor roll. He attended The Academy for Individual Excellence and then his dream school, Trinity High School, where he ran cross country. He had many interests. He loved singing and music, including but not limited to contemporary Christian music. He excelled at gymnastics and was asked to compete nationally. He also had a love of computer gaming and was an avid gaming competitor. Payson was a loving compassionate young man who deeply cared for his family and friends wellbeing. He had a great sense of humor and was a mischievous prankster. He had a heart which was larger than life, a deep love for animals and will be deeply missed and forever loved.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Thomas M. Shroyer and Robert Dean Grimm.
Payson leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted mother, Kimberly Shroyer Miller (Anthony Miller), his father, Robert Dean Grimm II, step-sisters, Kelsey Miller and Nikki Francis, his grandparents “Ga” Barbara Payne Shroyer and Virginia Kraft Payson and David Cole, step grandparents, Leo and Patricia Miller. Aunts and Uncles, Thomas M. Shroyer II, , Linda and Buddy Roman, Alice and Don Freville, Jill Aurland, Tana and Jeff Bustain, Tara Kraft and Jan Tsiropolous. Payson is also survived by his “Fur babies” Kaylie (his baby!) Sadie and Maggie. He is also survived by his loving family and friends too many to mention.
A funeral service to celebrate Payson’s life will be conducted at 10am on Monday, February 22, 2016 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 2-8pm on Sunday, February 21, 2015 and after 9am the day of the funeral.
