Ms. Nix was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Allie Mae Lunsford; and her brother, Raymond Lunsford. Survivors include her sister, Delores Simpson; children, Elaine Nix Douglas, Patricia Ann Lee, Robert Nix and "Baby" Samuel Nix Jr.; husband, Sam Nix; grandchildren, Stacy Lorne, Calvin, Tristy, Jake and Christopher; and great-grandson, Christian Lee. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Evergreen Funeral Home, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday. The family would like to request that memorial donations in Peggy's name be directed to Hosparus of Louisville.
