Phillip was born January 22, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky, to William "Johnny" McConathy and Mary Virginia Faulk. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Walter Wayne McConathy. Phillip is survived by his sister, Barbara Jean Howard; niece, Jeannie McQueen (John); Nephews, Nick Reiland (Teresa) and Eddie Reiland (Trish); great nieces, Lorie McQueen (Gary) and Olivia Reiland; and a great nephew, Dalton Reiland.
Phillip worked for Heartland Payment Services for over 20 years. He was able to make many friendships with his work family and was loved by his teammates. Phillip was an active member of Harmony Baptist Church, a true U of L fan and loved to sing.
He will be truly be missed by those who loved him, especially his fur baby, Brock
A visitation for Phillip will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3601 Taylor Blvd. A funeral will occur Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. A burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
