Words can never express how sorry Phil and I are about your loss.  Phil was a wonderful man that always wore a warm smile.  He made us laugh and was a joy to be around.  He was a good friend as well as a good neighbor.  

Even though it seems like forever since we moved away, we never forgot our "Pagoda families."  We had so many good memories that we will cherish forever.  In reality, that was "home."

Bernie, you helped me through the most difficult times of my life with my mom and dad.  You made my mom feel safe when you walked into the room.  I will never forget what you have done for my family.  You are a strong, but gentle good hearted person.  I will always keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.  I want to be here for you now and always.

I worked with Phil at Eastern Parkway and have known him for years. He was a wonderful person and always had a big smile on his face, never did I hear a cross or negative word come from his mouth. Phil will be greatly missed by all of his Norton fitness Center buddies.  Knowing he'd usually be there was always a helpful incentive to hit the locker room. Phil always made the workouts more enjoyable, or at least more tolerable, with his great personality and stories of working for Norton since the age of the dinosaurs. I knew Phil from Norton. While I only saw him randomly every few months, as he would answer a call at our building, I always enjoyed catching up with him since our last talk. Just talking with him a few weeks ago, this news came as a shock. He was a genuinely nice guy who was always helpful. I'm sorry for his family's loss. He will be missed.
