He was an Army veteran, a retired employee of G.E. for 36 years and he loved to travel with Nancy.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Nancy Pierce, parents, Thomas and Elma Pierce, sister, Agnes Mitchell, stepchildren, Anna Ruth McMichael and Kelly Keith Hilbert.
Phillip is survived by his stepchildren, Peggy Janes, Judy Shewmaker (Ernest) and Jim Hilbert (Janet), a sister, Jean Coswell and five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Phillip’s life will be conducted at 2pm on Monday, September 12, 2016 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 3-8pm on Sunday, September 11, 2016 and after 10am the day of the funeral.
