Phillip Alfred Schevetto Sr., 92, of Louisville passed away December 14, 2014 at his home. He was born on July 31, 1922 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Peatro and Mary Elizabeth Schevetto. He was a retired excavator and was a veteran in the United States Army serving in WWII. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of the VFW Post 3636
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Adrienne B. Schevetto; a sister, Francis; and two brothers, John and Pete.
He is survived by his loving children, Edward Carl Grant (Patricia), Phyllis Conrey, Phillip “Sonny” Schevetto Jr. (Kathy), and Patricia Combs (Kennie); grandchildren, Melody Reibel, Carla Wallace, Shannon Conrey, Sean Conrey, Stephanie Combs and Kennie Combs Jr.; nine great-grandchildren, Victoria, Olivia, Julia, Joshua, Brooke, Mira, Emily, Sam and Ethan; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Goodson; and a brother, Eugene Schevetto.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Cherrywood Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40207 with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 on Wednesday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.
