I would like to say what a life well lived!  I have known Phronsie for most of my life and count it a blessing to be called her friend.  The time spent in her home, the letters and the phone conversations are a cherished memory. Thank you for placing her obituary here so we would know.

Phronsie Quinn, a good friend of 67 years since students at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. We will meet again.

Mrs. Quinn was one of the most dedicated volunteers for teaching English as a Second Language.  I will miss seeing her at our conferences and WMU events.  With prayers for her family, Rebecca Carnell, Eubank, KY

My sympathy to the Quinn family.  Phronsie was a sweet, loving person.  She will be greatly missed.

How sad it is to hear of Phronsie's death. She was such a fine woman, totally dedicated to helping others. I remember her faithfully singing in Lyndon's sanctuary choir as well as other musical endeavors (mostly those "dreamed up" by Phillip Landgrave!).  She and Gene had such delightful, unique personalities--I chuckled a little every time I saw either of them walk into a room. Certainly Phronsie did fine work with accommodating and ministering to internationals. As far as I could tell, Phronsie never met a person she didn't like--she always found good in everybody, and was known as an encourager. Phronsie was also a loving wife and mother, dedicated to doing her best because of her love for God. She will certainly be missed!

I was saddened to learn of the passing of 
my friend, Phronsie.  She and I worked together with the International Wives
Program at Walnut St. Baptist Church 30
years ago. She was a beautiful person. She and Gene were very special. 
I was also a member of the Lyndon Baptist Church and
sang in the choir with Phronsie when Gene was the Music Minister.

Sorry to read of your Mother's death.  I have so many fond memories of your mother and father during those wonderful early days in Conway.  I know she will be missed.  My prayers are with you.

My sympathies to Mrs. Quinn's family. She was my Sunday school teacher over 30 some years ago, and I still and will always remember the influence she had on my life.
And although I hadn't seen her in many years, she found the time to visit my own mother before she herself passed. I will always remember her for her kind and thoughful heart. My prayers are with her family.

Mrs. Quinn was a dear sweet lady that opened up her home to everyone.  Last year she invited us to her house for Thankksgiving after we lost our immediate family.  She truly lived a Christian life and will surely be missed.

I am so sorry I am not there.  I am in Colomiba, S. A. and so hoped I would see Phronsie again.  She was so dear to me.
I know that now she is where she wanted to be and with the Lord whom she served for so many, many years.

accompany Dr. Quinn to various music festivals etc.

It's been since the mid 50's, but we remember the influence Phronsie and Prof. Quinn had on our lives.  We were students at SIU Carbondale, and were active in all activities at The Baptist Foundation on campus...particularly music.  Prof. encouraged Curt to go to Seminary instead of medical school.  He seemed to know God had Ministry not Medicine in mind for us.  He was right.  Phronsie encouraged us in our relationship and in the early days of our marriage.  She must have been right...we've been married 56 years!  They invested their lives in the lives of the students.  We had several opportunities to "do" music conferences in Kentucky with the Quinns after we completed Seminary.  We continue to remember them with much love and with great joy.
