

Phronsie Bizzell Quinn, 89, of Louisville passed on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at her home surrounded by family. She was a teacher of Christian Education and graduated with her Master's Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Phronsie was a member of Lyndon Baptist Church for the past 55 years, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Choir for 50 years. She was Co-founder of the International Friendship Group Louisville, member of the Kentucky Baptist Convention Women's Choral and Womens International Choir.
Phronsie served as a Volunteer missionary in the Phillipines, Japan and Kazakhstan and was a former minister of education for First Baptist Church in Conway, South Carolina. She was a loving person with a generous spirit. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene F. Quinn.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Janice A. Quinn, Carla F. Quinn (Pat), Philip E. Quinn (Melodee), Paul E. Quinn (Mickie); 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Phronsie's life will be conducted at 4:00 p.m Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Lyndon Baptist Church, 8025 New Lagrange Road. Visitation will be held in the parlor of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home at Westport Village from 4-8 p.m. Saturday. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Monday at Cave Hill Cemetery. Friends wishing to attend the graveside service should meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. on Monday. In lieu of customary expressions of sympathy the family has requested memorials to Lyndon Baptist Church for Missions.
