Born to the late James Gilley Sr. and Clarice Gilley, Phyllis is also preceded in passing by her son Mark Bays and her brother James Gilley Jr.
Here to carry on her memory is her adoring husband and best friend of 67 years, Herman Bays; their children Steve Bays (Cathy) and Susan Hudson (Larry); grandchildren Matthew Bays (Whitney), Sarah Bays, Brian Hudson, and Laura Long (Mike); great-grandson Drayven; and many life-long friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to devoted caregivers Carmen Harden and Geri Goodlett.
A celebration of Phyllis’s life will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to Hosparus of Louisville.
