Phyllis L. Ruff, 72, of Louisville passed away September 30, 2014 at Baptist Health Louisville. She was born on September 12, 1942 in Hardinsburg, Kentucky to Floyd Dodson and the late Carrie Thornhill Dodson. Phyllis was a graduate of Howevalley High School and Spencerian Business College and was retired from Jefferson County School Board. She was a member of Okolona Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert G. Ruff; her father, Floyd Dodson (Irene); children, Christina Whytsell (Joe), Jennifer Allen, Deanna Woods, and Dean Sexton; two sisters, Carleen Vollmer (Myles) and Danette Alexander (Don); and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be conducted Saturday October 4, 2014 at Noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 on Friday at the funeral home.
