Ramona Torres Rodriguez

Ramona Torres Rodriguez, age 76, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, September 26, 2022. She was born to the late Gerardo Torres Suarez and Rosa Aurora Rodriguez Zamora in Santiago, Cuba on September 9, 1946. Ramona was a Sterile Processing Tech by trade and was even named one of Cuba’s Best National Workers in 1988. She was a charismatic, sentimental, and loving woman who always made her family her priority. She will be remembered for her spunk, love of flowers, photography, animals, and a devoted, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Ramona was preceded in death by her siblings Eddy Torres Rodriguez, Elba Rosa Torres Rodriguez, Ismael Torres Rodriguez, and Papiro Torres Rodriguez.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Aidiliana Anaya Torres, Alberto Anaya Torres, and Rosa Maria Anaya Torres; grandchildren; Liena Anaya Rivero, Ramon Acosta Anaya, Yailen Cruz, Mauricio Cruz, and Temis Maria Jimenez Anaya; great-grandchildren, Adriana Giselle Cruz, Luis Alberto Montero Anaya, Royalty Acosta, Skylyn Maria Arnold, and Aidiliana Alexa Cobas Anaya; siblings, Ninta Torres Rodriguez, Martha Torres Rodriguez, Maritza Torres Rodriguez, Rudys Torres Rodriguez, Roberto Torres Rodriguez, Omar Torres Rodriguez, Jorge Torres Rodriguez and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 10 am to 2 pm with a funeral service immediately following at 2 pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home – Okolona located at 8519 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40219.
