Randall Tom "Tommy" Heath II, 37, of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. Tommy was born on August 8, 1977 in Elizabethtown to Randall Heath and Lisa Thompson.
Tommy loved people and didn't meet a stranger. Everywhere he went there was someone he knew. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion Unit #113 and a client for 14 years at Active Day both in Elizabethtown. Tommy also belonged to the Louisville Zoo and the Special Olympics. Tommy had many interests such as 4-wheeling, Nascar, and most of all "The Dukes of Hazard", which he had a model of that famous orange car and he was able to meet "Daisy Duke" at a car show. Tommy was able to go to Hooters restaurant only once, but he never forgot his experience and always talked about it. He got his picture taken with the Hooter girl's and he usually had his eyes closed in pictures, but not in this awesome picture. Along with the many likes and interests Tommy had, he was able to fulfill one of his wishes towards the beginning of this year, which was to take a helicopter ride and go to the ocean once more.
Tommy is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Basil Heath; and maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Dorothy Thompson.
Tommy is survived by his loving family including his father, Randall Heath (Patricia); mother, Lisa Thompson (Charles Meeks); sister, Misty Henderson (Wayne); paternal grandmother, Dora Heath; step-siblings, Heather Heath, Wayne Heath (Ashley), Larry Gene Padgett, Gary Wayne Padgett (Gail Benningfield), Debbie Murphy (Tony), Jason Meeks (April), and Missy Kidner (Travis); niece and nephew, Summer and Jesse Henderson, along with several other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
