Dale was a Navy veteran and a musician.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wert Clarence Slaughter Jr.; and son, Jessie D. Slaughter.
He is survived by his children, Patrick G. Slaughter, David M Slaughter, Randi M. Slaughter and Sarah Weaver; mother, Catherine I. Slaughter; brother, Larry Slaughter; sister, Marilyn Flint; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his lifetime companion, Elesa Bell Strong.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at noon at Dale's Home. Cremation was chosen.
