Rayford Huston Robinson, 87, formerly of Louisville passed away at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany, IN on Saturday, September 6, 2014. Rayford was born at home in Salvisa, Kentucky on July 2, 1927 to the late James and Hester Robinson.
Rayford was a member of Teamster's Local #89. He enjoyed bowling and loved to farm in his younger years, with gardening as an adult.
Rayford is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, James Robinson, Nancy Robinson, William Robinson, and Catherine Baker.
Rayford is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Edna Robinson; daughter, Brenda Robinson; and sister, Lyda Robinson.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Rayford at 2pm on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Evergreen Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation for the public will be from 2-8pm on Monday and from 12-2pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
The Robinson family wants to give a special thank you to the staff at Green Valley Care Center for the care they gave to Rayford.
