Les was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company, previous owner of Les’s Bar, and a former carrier for the Courier Journal. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the VFW Mill Creek Post 5421.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Stewart Burdon; sons Ron Burdon and Rick Burdon (Bunny); grandson, Eric Burdon (Paula); and a special sister-in-law Jettie White.
His funeral service will be held at 10 am Saturday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Friday.
