Raymond Robert Price Sr. 87, of Louisville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Thursday, January 29, 2015. He was born June 26, 1927 to the late Herbert and Florence Berlejung Price. He was a Marine Veteran and a longtime member of St. Rita’s and St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Bardstown.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Doris Carpenter Price and a brother, Herbert Price.
Raymond is survived by his four loving children, Raymond Price Jr. (Debbie), Rita Dobson (Dan), Joyce Recktenwald (Tommy) and Kathleen Price, ten grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren, one great great-grandson, one brother and five sisters. Also, a special thank you to his second family at Franciscan Healthcare for their love and compassion.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Edwards Catholic Church with interment in Highland Memory Garden.
Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Vincent De Paul.
