She is preceded in death by both her parents James and Edna Miller, and her in-laws, Ralph and Norma Basore. Rebecca is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, David Basore, their two daughters, Abigail Wilson (Aaron) and Katherine Fink (Andrew), and three grandchildren, Gavin Fink, Aslan Wilson, and Adelaide Wilson. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Wanda Lewis and Brother Allen Miller, her nieces and nephew, and her best friends Loretta Odle (who was also her niece) and Joyce Shelton.
Rebecca was born November 10, 1959, in Indianapolis and graduated from Decatur high school in 1978. She met her husband when they worked at Farm Bureau Insurance and were married in 1983 at Speedway Christian Church. Rebecca and David moved to Louisville in 1994, where they raised their daughters. She worked as a project manager for the Army Corp of Engineers when she was not a full-time homemaker. She retired in 2015 to stay home with her grandchildren. Rebecca enjoyed making delicious and beautiful cakes for her family and spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible. She and her husband were members at Southeast Christian Church.
Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 11am-1pm on Friday February 4, 2022 at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd., Louisville KY 40222. A celebration of Rebecca’s life will take place after the visitation at 1:00pm with interment to take place at Resthaven Memorial Park.
