He was a retired Army Veteran of WWII and a Federal Civil Service retiree (Fort Knox).
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mary and by his son, John.
Reiss is survived by his daughter, Susan; son-in-law, Larry; granddaughter, Zoe; brother-in-law, Willard Gill; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Memorial Park Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 4-8pm. A private interment at Resthaven will be Wednesday, November 9, 2016.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church or Hosparus, Louisville.
