Dear Cheryl and family,
We are so sorry to hear about Rick's passing. It seems like only yesterday we were all getting together in Iowa City and beginning our families. Cheryl, I remember that you took care of Erika in the nursery at UI. Rick was a wonderful and witty man, physician, husband, and father, and our hearts go out to you. We pray that the peace of God, which passes all understanding, be with you all. Love, Elaine and Dennis

Feelings of sorrow are left in our hearts as we have lost a very wonderful man. As my uncle, Rick will forever be remembered for his silliness when we were young children. I have had the privilege to seek his wisdom and medical knowledge for my own child and I will forever be grateful for that. We are thinking of the entire Haddy family and wish we could be there to comfort you all. We love you very much today and always.
