He was born January 5, 1944 in Louisville to the late John Wesley Harold and Dorothy Jones Harold. He graduated from University of South Florida. Richard retired from Hunter Laboratory, where he was a chemist traveling worldwide for the company.
He graduated from University of South Florida at only 21 yrs. old with an MBA in Chemistry and Science. He was inducted into the Who's Who Book in 1976 for his part in inventing a device that measures the Density of Color. That invention enabled him to travel the World as every major manufacturer that mixes colors for their products had to use this device.
Richard is survived by his sisters, Patricia (James) Willett, Julie M. (Thomas) Clark; brother, John Wesley Harold III; & nephews, Robert K. Clark & Blake Harold.
Services will be PRIVATE. Richard will be entombed in the St. Matthews Mausoleum of the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donation be made to the Louisville Zoo.
