Johnson, Richard Alton "Papaw", 85, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Richard lost his one true love, Louise Anderson Johnson, who was "The Wind beneath His Wings" in 1992. He was a faithful servant of God and awesome father to, Kay Schaftlein (Garry), Shellie Baugher (Lee), and Jason Johnson (Gena), Pat Sloan, Gerry Robards, Diane Husband (deceased 2015), Ronnie Crisler (deceased 2016) and Adrian Crisler (deceased 1990). Out of 4 brothers, he leaves behind Henry Edsel Johnson (Carolyn).
He was loved by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be Friday at 10:00am at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home and Friday from 9:00am until service time. Burial will be private at Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Aiden's Legacy c/o Kosair Children's Hospital.
