He was a retired U.S. Army veteran and retired from Headen Septic Service.
He was survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rosalie A. Luce; daughters, Terri Keisling, Theresa Nelson, Melody Lawson and Rena McMasters (Wes); son, Richard Luce Jr. (Cheryl); 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
A memorial to honor his life will be held 6 p.m. Sunday at Victory Baptist Church, 7808 Beulah Church Road.
