He was born March 1, 1951 in Louisville, the son of Richard D. and Marie R. Petersen.
Richard had owned Petersen Inc. a remodeling and construction business and was a United States Army veteran.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Natalie Hall (John) and Jessica Jones (Brad); 7 grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene Wright (Jim) and Linda Geiger (Jim) as well as several nephews.
A service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 6:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2013 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady Russman & Sons, 1201 E. Oak St. Visitation will be from 2-6 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
