Rick was a retired Police Officer serving both the Jefferson County Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for over 39 years. During his time in law enforcement, Rick served as a Field Training Officer, Platoon Sergeant, a member of the SWAT Team and President of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Rick is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lynn; children Julie (David) Carroll and Rick, Jr.; grandsons, Nate, Michael, Alex and Christopher Huber and Nick and John Carroll. He is survived by siblings Debbie (Stacey) Bruce and Kevin (Leigh) Huber as well as many nieces and a nephew.
Visitation will be 4:00-8:00pm on Thursday, January 4th with funeral service on Friday, January 5th at 10:00 am at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218.

Rick will be laid to rest privately in Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218.
