Ricky, you were such a kind man with a great sense of humor. I only wish I'd have gotten to know you longer. You have some precious children who we will all be here for. Tell Dad hello for me. Don't y'all have too much fun up in Heaven. We'll see you again one day soon. 💚

Your terrific sense of humor and your courageous attitude with everything you went thru helped us every day. I grew to love you like you were my own pops, and I will miss you terribly.

My memory of "Ricky" had to do with watching his crew and Leonard Basham at Sportsdrome Speedway. The real fun was the parking lot tailgate party , those times were fun! Sometimes he would take me to Louisville Motor Speedway with his stepson Josh, we would be there from start to finish watching the #9 machine win those races. One thing I admired about Ricky was how he treated his family. The Young family is a large family and they always stand by each other, that is something to be proud of. Tami, Kerri, Cody, and Leslie, may your father rest in peace.

Love Brandon Skaggs and Family.
