Rita F. Shulthise Brewer, 84, of Louisville, passed away July 18, 2011. She was retired from Stone Container after 34 years of service. She was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church, T.O.P.S., and Red Hats Society.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Harlan Woodrow Brewer, Sr. and her longtime friend, Royal Shoopman.
Survivors include her children, Louise Czapala(Bill), Joyce Messinger(Gary), Harlan W. Brewer, Jr.(Martha), Freda Hatfield(Harold), Jim Brewer(Lisa), and Lisa Burnett(Mark); 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Dr. Arthur J. and Tommy Shulthise; and sisters, Roberta Miller, Marie Cwiak, and Pat Gipson.
A funeral mass will be held at 10am Thursday at Guardian Angels Catholic Church 6000 Preston Hwy. with interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8pm Wednesday at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home 8519 Preston Hwy.
