

Robby devoted his life to becoming a hall of fame thoroughbred racehorse jockey amassing over 5,222 wins from 1989 to 2021, including 429 stakes wins, 3 Breeders Cup wins and 2 Preakness wins. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed hands-on outdoor projects, fishing and was involved in many charity works. Robby’s greatest joy was derived from being a father to his four sons and one daughter.
Robby is survived by his five children, Kaden Albarado, Kashen “Kash” Albarado, Larkin Albarado, their mother, Kimber Huffman of Louisville KY; Liam Albarado, Woodford “Keegan” Albarado, their mother Paige Marcinek of Lexington, KY; mother, Judy Racca, her spouse Randall Racca of Lafayette, LA; sister, Carolyn Albarado Stowe of Lafayette, LA; three nephews, Jacob Matthieu, Cain Stowe, Audey Mahagan; three nieces, Chynna Stowe Calais and husband Austin Calais, Chloe Stowe and Cheridan Stowe.
He is preceded in death by father, Robert Albarado and sister, Bobbie Jo Mahagan.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 from 11am to 4:45pm followed by the funeral service at 5pm at the Arch L. Heady and Son - Cralle Funeral Home in Louisville, KY.
Services will be officiated by Pastor Ken Boehm of Ascension Church and Pat Day, Hall of Fame thoroughbred jockey, devout Christian and personal friend, of Louisville.
